If I need to reannotate, I have to reference the second window and click on the tiny icon - if I click outside on accident it zooms into the photo. With Evernote, It brings up two windows (yes I know you can disable that but just wait) and I can annotate but to save the annotations I have to click Save & Exit which closes the window. Skitch is a free, innovative, easy-to-use application thats changed the way people capture, annotate and share images. I can close the window but bring it back up and easily resume workflow. With Skitch it is easy to annotate, reannotate, and drag and drop the image in one go. I think Skitch being a separate product and still supported for Mac makes a case for having this capability in Evernote for Windows and some users do need these items. Slight caveat: Evernote said it will continue to offer Skitch for Mac for download and also provide support, too. Each version will continue to work for existing users but, because there is no longer a team or resources dedicated to each product, “external changes like updates to your operating system or browser may break features or functionality at any point in the future,” Evernote admitted. That means that they will no longer be available for download after that date.

Evernote bought popular annotation app Skitch back in 2011 and, after incurring the wrath of loyal users for a series of unpopular updates, it is finally saying goodbye to it for good after announcing that it will end support for almost all versions of the service.
